Disappointing turnout for Spring Break Programs… and a book you should read!

On Thursday five people came to the hemp bracelet program. The program was a lot of fun. We listened to music and everyone went home with a bracelet/anklet/necklace. Some people took a little longer than others (you will go unnamed, but you know who you are) but everyone had a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, the Poetry Slam on Friday didn’t have quite as big a draw. No one came… But don’t worry, that won’t stop me. I’m not ready to give up on you guys yet. Please give me suggestions! It is quite possible that you can have fun in the library.

Which reminds me, you guys should really consider joining me in a Teen Advisory Board. You would get to tell me what you want to see in the library, what programs you would like, volunteering in the library (which looks good when you go to college or try to get a job) as well as meeting other people!

Right now I am reading a book called Thursday’s Child. It’s really a great book! This book is a historical fiction that takes place in Australia during the Great Depression. It’s about a girl called Harper who is fascinated by her younger brother Tin. Tin likes to dig holes and tunnels, where he feels safer than everyone who’s suffering above ground. If you want to read more about it go here!
