Anniversary of Pearl Harbor

Today is the anniversary of the bombing at Pearl Harbor. At about 8 am on December 7, 1941, planes attacked US ships docked at Pearl harbor, and by 10 am it was all over. In about 2 hours, the Japanese suicide planes managed to kill almost 2500 people.

To give you an idea of how many people that is:

  • there have been approximately 2900 people killed in the Iraq war so far.
  • there are approximately 1500 people that attend Hilton High

This site has first hand accounts of people that lived through the experience at Pearl Harbor.  I think that we should give a moment to remember these men and women who died, some of whom could have been your grandfather or grandmother.
